pro tips
In Taverns & Dragons, you'll need to be clever and make the most of your dice rolls to achieve victory. As you dive into your first game, here are some valuable tips:

Create Powerful Combos
Explore the synergies between your actions, heroes, and locations to create powerful combos and influence the course of the game. Tap into your inner strategist and discover countless possible combinations!

Always keep energy gems
Always keep a few energy gems on hand, and seize the ideal moment to use them: to hunt dragons (to grab their meat or their trophies), to use your heroes' special bonuses (to obtain the final ingredient of your recipe) or to embark on quests.

Prepare for your hunt
Make sure you have enough available slots on your minions: at least one for dragon meat and perhaps another to absorb damage, avoiding unpleasant surprises. In addition, reroll runes and heroes with hunting abilities may be invaluable when facing challenging situations involving dragons.

Don't underestimate heroes!
They not only bring prestige (and points) to your tavern at the end of the game but also offer the opportunity to use their abilities multiple times during the game, along with their one-shot bonus that can be obtained for just one energy gem!

Choose the right minion
Use minions based on their individual strengths. When retrieving a distant dragon egg, rely on your booted minion with increased movement. During dragon hunts, deploy your shielded minion to dodge damage, while your strong minion can handle heavier loads of ingredients.

Get prestige!
Prestige points primarily come from recipes, so send your minions to gather ingredients and keep some of your dice to cook the finest recipes! Additionally, keep an eye out for opportunities to score points with dragon trophies and prestigious heroes along the way, as they can make all the difference in the end.
box tetris
When you open the box and punch out the tokens, it might seem overwhelming at first. But fear not! With a sprinkle of organization magic, everything fits like a charm.

Keep the dice and meeples in the large compartment (1)
Place location tiles, cloth bag, dragons, gems, etc., in the small compartment (2)
Store the cards in their designated slots (3)
All ingredient and wound tokens fit in the large compartment (4)
All gold and rune tokens fit in the small compartment (5)
All "extra" tokens (like solo mode, 2-player, or location tokens) can be placed in the slot beneath the cards (6)
You'll even have some extra space in the large compartment for your shiny metal coins (7)
